The Jr. High B team lost two games this past week. The Lady Knights seemed to get off to a slow start in the first half and then battled back in the end. Carissa Freeman led the Knights against Milford with 6 points and Katelyn Smithberger added 5. The Knights will finish off the season with a backyard brawl with Little Miami and another round with Milford. The Knights continue to fight hard and haven’t given up at all.

The last couple weeks of Jr. High basketball season have been very exciting for the 7^th and 8^th grade Lady Knight’s B team. The Knights have fallen to 4 – 8 record but have played very hard the last couple of games. We beat backyard rival Little Miami 16 – 14 in an exciting barn burner. Then hosted the Hawks from Nagel and defeated them 17 – 13.  The Knights were led by Jenna Spiros and Mackenzie Kruse in those two wins. A strong and fiery defense helped seal the wins. Liz Coleman has come on of late getting more physical and scoring in two straight games.  The Knights will try and improve their record with 4 more games to play.

The first couple weeks of Jr. High basketball season have been very exciting for the 7^th and 8^th grade Lady Knight’s B team. The Knights fell in overtime in its first game of the season to Hamilton County Math and Science 30-28. The Lady Knight was lead by Katelyn Smithberger with 11 points followed by Stacy Stuart and Mackenzie Kruse with 5 and 4 points respectfully. The knights got sweet revenge the following week with an impressive road win 31-25. Jenna Spiros paced the nights with 12 points 8 of them coming in the final quarter. 

The B team then traveled to Loveland for a backyard brawl in which the Knights came up a little short with a 30 -24 loss. Jenna Spiros lead the way with 8 points and Smithberger added 6. The knights bounced back with an impressive win on the road against the 7^th Grade lady Hawks of Nagel by a score of 19-16. This was a well fought game with a number of lady nights playing tenacious defense lead by Carrisa Freeman, Lanie Gruber and Heather Dale.

The Lady Knights participated in an Amazing Race at YMCA Camp Kern.  The girls faced many different challenges: Giant Swing, Cowboy Up, Bean Bag Battle Ship, Life Size Word Searches, Fire Building and much more!  What a great season kick off!
