Varsity members autographed team posters prior the Kings vs. Turpin game Friday December 14th.    The players did a great job engaging with the club members to make this a special event for all who participated.    The relationship between our Varsity athletes and our elementary students continues to grow.     We are fortunate to have a group of Varsity Basketball players worthy of looking up to.

By far, the Jr Roundball Club members fan favorite is Senior Point Guard Calvin Scruby.    Calvin has coached youth basketball in the Kings Basketball Association (KBA) for four years.   Calvin started coaching his Freshmen year of High School working with a team of 6th graders that are now part of our Freshmen class.

Calvin is a great role model in the community.

On Saturday, December 8th the Men’s and Women’s basketball programs joined Jr. Roundball Club members for Breakfast with Santa.    This was a great opportunity for Jr. Roundball Members to hang out with their favorite players and an opportunity for our Varsity athlete’s to embrace their role as community leaders and role models to our elementary students.

Coach Stevens welcomed Jr. Roundball Club members Chad Lance, Logan Gray, Willie Brewster, Zach Bennet, Justin Byrd and Ray Brewster to the Tip-off Luncheon.    While Coach K introduced Jr. Roundballer’s Brianne Gray and Rachel Bernhard sporting their sharp warm up jackets.
