The Knights started out strong against Mason. Although they trailed by three after the first quarter, they took the lead in the second quarter. The second and third quarter Kings continued to out score the Comets going into the fourth quarter leading by 12. Comets made four threes to put the pressure on Kings and with 8 seconds left cut the lead to two. The Knights held on to the lead to inch out the Comets. Even though Comets out scored the Knights in the fourth 20-8, the Knights played great defense and played well enough to win. Luck was on the Comets side as they banked in a three. Player of the game went to the whole team. Each player stepped up big to come together as a team. A red ribbon was tied on every players shoe to remind them to play like Kristen Sevier. Kristen will be out the rest of the season with an injury. The Knights goal was to play with the intensity that Kristen plays with.
Well wishes to Kristin for speedy and healthy recovery….see you on the court next year!
