KLK class of 2012, Senior Review
The fine ladies that led our team this year will be missed. We wish you nothing but continued success at the next level and with your future endeavors.
MICHELLE BRUNS: Daughter of Pam and Tom Bruns, Michelle has been involved in the Reading Buddy Program, she is a French tutor for 3rd graders, and she has worked with the Prom committee and is a member of the National Honor Society. She has played soccer for the Knights and is a 2-year varsity player and one of our team captains this season. Michelle plans to attend The Ohio State University or the University of Cincinnati and study nursing.
ABBY BUSH: Daughter of Ann & Mike, Abby has been involved with the Prom Committee, the Reading Buddies program and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has been a valuable contributor to the soccer program and is a 3 year varsity member of the Basketball team, she was honored as 2nd Team all FAVC last season, and is one of the team captains this season. She plans to attend the University of Dayton and play soccer while studying Exercise Science.
LAURA HARSNETT: Daughter of parents Melissa & Jim, Laura has been involved with the Reading Buddy Program; she is a Spanish tutor for 4th graders, volunteers in the community and has participated in the track program. She is a first year varsity player. Laura plans to study nursing at the University of Cincinnati next fall.
KATIE STEVENS: Daughter of Susan & Mike, Katie has been a part of the Prom committee, the Reading Buddies program and French tutor. Her athletic participation involves both the volleyball and basketball programs. Katie has played basketball forever, and while sustaining severe knee injuries she has been kept off the court this season this but very much a valuable contributor to this team. She too is going to the University of Cincinnati for a nursing degree.
HALEY WALTER: Daughter of Rona & Craig, Haley has spent her four years of high school being involved with Young Life and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has played soccer, run track and been in our basketball program. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Miami University where she will play soccer for the Redhawks and probably major in education.
STEPHANIE WEHMER: Daughter of Brenda & Chip, Stephanie has been both a Spanish and French tutor. She has been a part of both the soccer and basketball program throughout her 4 years of high school. She is a 2 year varsity player, was an Honorable Mention all FAVC player last season and a team captain this year. She is planning to attend either The Ohio State University or the University of Tennessee to study Veterinary Science.
While there are many memories our seniors will cherish, they all would leave their teammates with these thoughts: cherish the time you have with your team, choosing a positive attitude, and make the most of this opportunity to play the sport you love.
