The Knights' season ended with a thud Tuesday night, losing to the Anderson Redskins 44 to 42.

It was a match up of two teams with similar success this year - both were 14 and 5 with wins and losses against common opponents. But there the similarities did end; the Redskins are a two-man team, with their top two scorers netting 64% of the Redskins points, whereas the Knights, who boasted the largest point differential in the FAVC, were a nightmare for scouting coaches, with no single player averaging in double digits... KNIGHTS CELEBRATE SENIOR NIGHT WITH FAVC CARDINAL TITLE

The Knights matchup with Walnut Hills Friday was all-or-nothing; a win would secure a share of the FAVC Cardinal title and send the Knights into the post season with momentum. A loss would put the Knights in second place, and - as it turns out - hand the FAVC title to rival Turpin, who beat the Wilmington Hurricane in overtime. It was a satisfying win. The Knights had just managed a tough win on the strength of Matt Stevens' five three-pointers. They had fought off the inspired Little Miami Panthers and now were heading into the final week of the season hoping for a miracle that could put them back into the title hunt. Then the word began to spread: the Amelia Barons had knocked off Turpin's Spartans... ten three-pointers... a last second tip-in...
