The Knights beat Nagel-Silver last night 37-31. With the win, the Knights were able to secure their second straight division title. Lead by Zach Brashear with 15 points and Nick Bird with a whopping 10 rebounds, Kings won their tenth straight. The Knights’ last two games are against Little Miami on Monday and Walnut Hills. Both wins would make them 10-0 in the division. The end-of-the-season tournament is also something to look forward to for the Knights, which is scheduled to start on February the 9th.
Kings was able to defeat Amelia on Monday 44-9. The scoring was spread out, and the Knights’ defense held the Barons to only nine points. The Knights’ next game is against Nagel-Silver on Monday. A tenth straight win for the Knights would give the Knights a good seed in the upcoming end-of-the-season tournament, which they won last year.
The Knights beat Wilmington with authority on Thursday, scoring a season-high 64 points against the Hurricane, who had 30. Although Wilmington gave a good effort, the Knights were the superior team in this one, and it showed. Their next game will be against Amelia on Monday, where the Knights will look to win their ninth straight game.
Kings was able to defeat Walnut Hills on Wednesday, 47-26. It was a physical game, but Kings emerged victorious in one of their more challenging games this season. Scoring was pretty spread out for the Knights, but Nick Bellman stood out with a season-high 17 points. Walnut Hills was quick, fast, and very athletic, but the Knights were a more solid and fundamental team. Their next game is tomorrow at Wilmington, where they will look to win their second game this season against the Hurricane.
The Knights won their sixth straight on Monday, beating the Little Miami Panther’s 46-17. The Knights played well on offense where every player scored. The Panthers could never get an offense going because of teh intense pressure by the Kings’ defense. After an early season loss to Pleasant Run, the Knights are making some noise in their division with 6 straight wins. They will go for their 7th win against a very athletic Walnut Hills team. The game will take place at Walnut Hills on Wednesday the 16th at 5:45.
The Knights trounced the Wilmington Hurricanes, 50-20. It was another relatively unbalanced game, ending in a win for the Knight. It brought their record to 6-1. The balanced offense was led by Tommy Schnee with 14 points and Zach Hilderbrand and Ben Glischinski with 10 points a piece. The Knights next game is on Monday against the Little Miami Panthers at home, who denied them a perfect division record last year. The game will be a tough, physical battle against Litttle Miami and former Kings 8th grade A team coach Matt Knott.
The Knights slaughtered the Nagel-Silver Blackhawks on Monday 48-28. The Knights scoring was spread out. Zach Braeshear and Ben Glischinksi stood out with 11 points a piece, most everyone scored at least once. The Blackhawks game a good effort, but they were simply outplayed by the Knights. Kings was better in every aspect of the game, and this resulted in a win. The Knights will host Wilmington Hurricanes on January 9th at 5:45. Come to the Junior High and support your 8th grade Knights.
Winton Woods was the first really athletic team that the Knights have faced, not including Plesant Run, whom they lost to. They were able to scrape a win in a game that included 2 technical fouls, two very successful offenses, and a few emotional outbursts. The game was quite close until the end, where the Knights were able to jump ahead and stay there, winning 35-28. Tommy Schnee and Nick Bird were the two leading scorers, with a combined 15 points. Nick Bellman also chipped in with a solid 5 points. Although Winton Woods offense was much quicker than Kings, the Knights fundamentally sound offense was able to outscore Winton Woods offense, and earn a very important win. The Knights travel to Nagel to play their Silver team on January 7th, it will be their first game since the holiday break.
After a tough schedule to being with, the Knights had a bit more relaxed game against the Amelia Barons. A 53-10 win gives the Knights a good confidence boost as they go into their make-up game against a very athletic Winton Woods team. Kings was just a better-rounded team in this one, and it was never much of a game. The scoring was very balanced out as everyone contributed. The Knights’ defense held the Amelia high scorer to a dismal 4 points, and caused more than 10 turnovers. The Knights’ next game is a make-up one against Winton Woods on December 20th.
The Knights rebounded from their loss on Monday and defeated the Ross Rams handily, 33-20. The Knights’ leading scorers were Tommy Schnee (10 points) and Zach Brashear (9 points), but this game was all about defense. The Knights held the Rams to only 2 points in the 4th quarter. Although the Rams played hard, they were never really in this one. The Knights next game is on Dec 17th vs. Amelia.
