Varsity members autographed team posters prior the Kings vs. Turpin game Friday December 14th. The players did a great job engaging with the club members to make this a special event for all who participated. The relationship between our Varsity athletes and our elementary students continues to grow. We are fortunate to have a group of Varsity Basketball players worthy of looking up to.

On Saturday, December 8th the Men’s and Women’s basketball programs joined Jr. Roundball Club members for Breakfast with Santa. This was a great opportunity for Jr. Roundball Members to hang out with their favorite players and an opportunity for our Varsity athlete’s to embrace their role as community leaders and role models to our elementary students.

Prior to the start of Saturday nights home Varsity opener, Athletic Director Matt Koenig, requested a moment of silence for former Princeton High School Basketball Coach Bill Brewer who recently passed away. Members of the King’s Roundball Club helped gather a financial collection from fans in attendance to help support the Brewer family. Coach Brewer had close ties to the Kings Basketball program. He was an Uncle to King’s Junior Varsity player, Kevin Hopperton, and close friend and coach with King’s Varsity Coach Mike Stevens. Additional Donations to the Brewer Girls Education Fund can be made at any Fifth/Third Bank location.
The King’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs ran in conjunction with the 2007-08 basketball season opener weekend a “Hoops for Hunger” program that benefited the Food Pantry in South Lebanon. THANKS to all of the fans that participated by bringing in canned goods as they came to the games. The players collected 464 cans of fruit, vegetables, soups and more.
